Research

    The guiding principles of our research are: to identify key chemical imbalances in cancer cells, study their induced cellular stresses, understand how the affected cells reprogram their metabolisms to adapt to these stresses, and elucidate possible links between these metabolic reprogramming to cancer cell division, metastasis and drug resistance.

  • To study key and common drivers and associated mechanisms of cancer formation and progression through integrated computational and experimental studies;
  • To study key and common drivers and associated mechanisms of cancer metastasis through integrated computational and experimental studies;
  • To apply the general knowledge gained above to study the formation and metastasis of specific cancers: liver, colon and thyroid cancers;
  • To discover biomarkers based on information derived for cancer diagnosis and prognosis.
